AMBER RUTH

CROSSMAN

Amber Ruth Crossman is a senior Sociology major and Theater minor at Brandeis, and she is honored to be directing Disconnecting the Dots. Amber has worked with Casey and the entire team to ensure that not only the script, but the stories that are being represented are understood and respected in the rehearsal space. There are difficult areas to discuss in this show, and Amber is proud of how the team has not only acknowledged this but made the concerted effort to open up why. Why are certain aspects of this conflict hard to hear? What have we not heard before? Why haven’t we heard it? And how do we react now that we have heard? These conversations have flowed through every rehearsal, and Amber is proud of Casey and Alex and the final result that they will present to you.

Amber’s past directing experience has included Of a Mirror and Its Fragments (FreePlay, Brandeis University), Talking With… (FreePlay, Brandeis University), various performances in the Brandeis Quickie Festival, and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Needham High School). Some of her other theater experience has included acting — Donna, Mamma Mia (UTC, Brandeis University), Kuzmir, Mir Zaynen Do (Senior Thesis, Brandeis University), and Clytemnestra, Iphigenia and Other Daughters (HTP, Brandeis University). Amber Ruth Crossman would like to thank you for taking the time to watch and interact with Disconnecting the Dots
